Day TwoWhen Breathwork Becomes Part of the Retreat
Working with Karen at my women’s empowerment retreat in Costa Rica was an absolute gift. She held such a beautiful, grounded, and professional space for the women, and her breathwork sessions were deeply impactful.
Many participants experienced profound emotional release, clarity, and transformation through her guidance, and several shared that her session was one of the most moving parts of the retreat.
Karen has a rare ability to combine skill, intuition, and compassion in a way that makes people feel safe enough to go deep. Her work is powerful, heart-centered, and truly transformative.
I would like to wholeheartedly recommend Karen to anyone seeking an exceptional breathwork facilitator. I can’t wait to have Karen with me again in Greece in May to facilitate breathwork!

The Experience
When you invite someone into your retreat or event to facilitate breathwork,
you're trusting them with your people and with the experience you've worked
so hard to create.
I understand the importance of that.
My role is to step into the space you've created, honor your vision, and offer a breathwork experience that feels intentional, connected, and aligned with the larger experience of your event.
What the Experience Can Look Like
There is no one-size-fits-all breathwork session.
Your event may call for a powerful Conscious Connected Breathwork experience that gives participants space to go inward and explore what's present.
Another group may benefit from breathwork paired with nervous system education, somatic practices, grounding, reflection, or integration.
For a multi-day retreat, we may decide that more than one experience would best support the arc of the weekend.
Depending on your event, our collaboration might include:
A standalone Conscious Connected Breathwork session
Breathwork as part of a women's retreat or wellness retreat
Breathwork for a co-ed or mixed group
Breathwork paired with nervous system education
Somatic practices and body-based awareness
Grounding and integration practices
Guided reflection and journaling
Women's circle facilitation
Multiple breathwork or integration experiences throughout a multi-day retreat
A customized experience created specifically around your event's theme or intention
We'll talk about what you're creating and choose what genuinely fits rather than trying to fit your group into a predetermined format.
A Breathwork Experience Designed for Your Group
Your retreat has its own intention. Your group has its own energy. Your breathwork experience should reflect that.
Before your event, we'll connect so I can understand what you're creating.
We'll talk about your participants, the purpose and theme of your gathering, what comes before and after the breathwork session, the physical space, your schedule, and what you hope your participants will experience.
From there, I'll create a session designed to complement the larger arc of your event.
I can collaborate with you on everything from the length and placement of the session to music, nervous system education, integration, and how we prepare participants beforehand.
For me, collaboration means exactly that: we create it together.
You know your people and the experience you're building.
I know breathwork, nervous system-centered facilitation, and how to hold a group through an experience that can be both deeply personal and deeply connective.
We bring those pieces together.
What Makes My Approach Different
Breathwork can be powerful.
And I believe how it is facilitated matters just as much as the breathing itself.
My approach is trauma-informed & -responsive, nervous-system-centered, somatic, and grounded in choice.
Before we begin, participants understand what we're doing, what they may experience, and the choices available to them throughout the session.
During the experience, I invite participants to stay connected to their own bodies, choices, and capacity. They are welcome to slow the breath, return to natural breathing, change position, rest, or choose not to participate in any part of the experience.
There is no expectation to have a particular kind of experience.
There is no required emotional release.
There is no performing.
And sharing is always optional.
I also place a strong emphasis on integration. The experience doesn't end when the active breathing ends. I intentionally create space for the body to settle, for participants to notice what's present, and for the experience to land before everyone moves on to the next part of the event.
My goal isn't to create the biggest experience in the room.
It's to create the conditions for each person to have their own experience.
Why Bring Me to Your Event?
I'm an Internationally Certified Breathwork Facilitator, Somatic Coach, Women's Circle & Retreat Facilitator, and Corporate Wellness Facilitator.
I facilitate my own women's retreats and group experiences through Breathe Again Wellness, and I also love stepping into retreats and events created by other leaders.
That distinction matters to me.
As a retreat facilitator myself, I understand what it takes to create an experience from beginning to end. I understand the planning behind the scenes, the responsibility you feel for the people who have trusted you enough to attend, and how important it is that a guest facilitator doesn't simply deliver their piece and leave you to figure out how it fits.
I come prepared to collaborate.
I care about the experience you're creating as a whole, not only the time participants spend breathing with me.
My work draws from Conscious Connected Breathwork, nervous system education, somatic coaching, group facilitation, and years of creating spaces where people are invited to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and listen to what their bodies are communicating.
Based in Washington. Available Worldwide.
Your retreat doesn't have to be in Washington for us to work together.
I'm based in the Olympia, Washington area and am available for local, national, and international breathwork facilitation and retreat collaborations.
I can travel to facilitate breathwork at:
Destination retreats
Women's retreats
Wellness retreats
Corporate retreats and wellness events
Workshops and conferences
Coaching retreats and masterminds
Community gatherings
Multi-day group experiences
Whether you're planning an intimate weekend in the Pacific Northwest, a retreat somewhere across the United States, or an international destination experience, I'm happy to explore what collaboration could look like.
I’ve had the privilege of bringing this work to retreats around the world, including women’s empowerment retreats in Costa Rica and Greece, trauma-release retreats in Mexico and Canada, and a breathwork retreat in Italy, and I look forward to continuing to bring breathwork to meaningful gatherings wherever they may take me.
Have breath, will travel.
If you're creating something meaningful and think breathwork belongs there, I'd love to hear about it.
Planning a Retreat or Group Event? Let's Talk.
You don't need to know exactly what kind of breathwork session you want before reaching out.
That's something we can figure out together.
Tell me a little about your event:
Where and when is it happening?
Who will be attending?
Approximately how many participants are you expecting?
What is the intention or theme of the event?
What are you hoping breathwork might add to the experience?
From there, we can talk about your vision, what would best serve your group, my availability, travel logistics, and collaboration options.
For destination and international events, please reach out as early as possible so we have plenty of time to coordinate travel and event details.
Frequently Asked QuestionsFrequently Asked Questions
-
I facilitate breathwork for women's retreats, wellness retreats, workshops, coaching groups, community gatherings, corporate wellness programs, destination retreats, and other group experiences. I work with both women-only and co-ed groups, and each experience is adapted to the people, setting, and intention of the event.
-
Yes. I'm based in Washington State and available to travel throughout the United States and internationally for retreats, workshops, corporate wellness events, and other group experiences.
-
No. Participants can be completely new to breathwork. I explain the practice before we begin and provide options throughout the experience so each person can participate in a way that feels appropriate for them.
-
My primary group breathwork practice is Conscious Connected Breathwork, a continuous circular breathing practice. Depending on your group and event, I may also incorporate gentler breathing practices, nervous system education, somatic awareness, grounding, movement, reflection, and integration.
-
The length depends on your event and the type of experience we're creating. Rather than automatically fitting every group into the same time frame, we'll talk about your schedule, participants, and goals and determine what makes sense for your event.
-
Absolutely. This is one of my favorite parts of collaborating with another retreat leader.
We'll discuss your retreat theme, intention, participants, and overall flow beforehand so the breathwork experience feels like an intentional part of the retreat rather than a separate activity that has simply been added to the schedule.
-
Yes. Depending on your event, we can explore incorporating nervous system education, somatic practices, women's circle facilitation, guided reflection, journaling, grounding, or integration practices alongside breathwork.
-
Yes. Although I facilitate many women's retreats and women's group experiences, my breathwork facilitation is also available for co-ed retreats, workshops, corporate groups, couples, and mixed-group events.
-
Yes. Breathwork and nervous system-centered practices can be adapted for a professional environment. Corporate sessions are designed differently from deeper retreat-based Conscious Connected Breathwork and are tailored to the setting, group, available time, and goals of the organization.
-
That will depend on the experience we're creating. We'll discuss the room, participant setup, mats or chairs, sound/music needs, timing, participant communication, and any other logistics well before the event.
My goal is for you to know exactly what is needed ahead of time so the day itself feels easy and organized.
-
The earlier, the better, particularly for destination retreats and international events that require travel planning. That said, you're always welcome to reach out about an upcoming event. If I'm available and the logistics work, I'd love to explore it with you.
-
Because events vary significantly in location, group size, session length, travel requirements, and the level of customization involved, collaboration pricing is provided individually.
Once I know a little about your event and what you're envisioning, I can provide options and a clear quote.
-
Send me an inquiry with your event date, location, approximate group size, and a little about what you're creating.
We'll start with a conversation and see if we're a good fit.
