Somatic Coaching for Women

with Karen Warwick, Breathe Again Wellness
Using the Feminine Freedom Method™

“Somatic coaching is all about women feeling safe in their bodies, trusting their inner wisdom, and living free from old conditioning.”

What is Somatic Coaching?

Somatic coaching is a body-centered approach to healing and growth.
Unlike traditional coaching that focuses only on the mind, somatic work helps you tune
into the wisdom of your body, because so often, the body holds what words cannot.

Through breath, gentle movement, and guided awareness, you’ll learn to release
stored tension, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with your intuition.

Somatic coaching supports not just what you want to change,
but how you feel and embody that change in daily life.

The Feminine Freedom Method™

Karen uses the Feminine Freedom Method™, a trauma-informed somatic process created specifically for women. This method gently unwinds old patterns of stress, self-doubt, and suppression, helping you reclaim your natural state of freedom, flow, and feminine power.

Whether you’re navigating transition, carrying old wounds, or simply longing for more ease and joy, this method provides a pathway back to yourself.

My Training & Personal Experience

Training for the Feminine Freedom Method Somatic Coaching certification included weekly classes, oodles of homework and video lessons, extensive practicum hours, and real-time client integration.

This training did not replace breathwork. It deepened how I guide it.

Breathwork taught me how the body stores stress, trauma, and emotional patterns.
Somatic coaching taught me how to work with what happens after the body begins to open.

This work strengthened my ability to support clients with:

• Nervous system regulation
• Emotional processing without overwhelm
• Working within each person’s capacity and pace
• Real integration in everyday life

This training also changed my own life in tangible ways. My nervous system is steadier. My boundaries are clearer. I recover faster from stress and trust my body more deeply.

This is the foundation of the work I now offer in somatic coaching sessions.

Somatic Coaching & Breathwork: How It’s Different From Therapy

If you’re curious about somatic work, you may wonder: what’s the difference between somatic coaching and therapy?

Therapy focuses on healing past trauma

Trauma therapy is powerful work. A therapist often focuses on helping clients resolve a specific past pain or trauma. Sessions are centered around processing those memories and emotions so that healing can happen.

Coaching & breathwork focus on your whole life

Somatic coaching with me looks a little different. While we may touch on past pain, our main focus is on helping you feel more alive, calm, and connected in your daily life…right now.

We do this through:

Breathwork — using the breath to release stress, calm the nervous system, and create more space in your body.
Somatic practices — simple tools you can use at home to feel grounded and safe in your body.
Coaching conversations — helping you discover what you want for your life and how to step into it fully.

As we work together, old pain or trauma may surface…and when it does, we hold space for it. But the goal isn’t just to “fix” the past. The goal is to help you grow into a version of yourself that feels more relaxed, empowered, and able to live with purpose and joy.

A simple way to think about it

Therapy: healing the past so you can move forward.

Somatic coaching & breathwork: building new ways of being in your body so you can live the life you want now.

Both are valuable. It just depends on what you’re looking for.

If you’re ready to feel calmer, lighter, and more connected in your own body, trauma-informed somatic coaching with breathwork may be exactly the right place to start.

What a Somatic Coaching Session Looks Like

Every session is gentle, collaborative, and paced to your nervous system.

A typical session may include:

• A short grounding or breath practice to settle into the body
• A coaching conversation about what is present in your life right now
• Somatic awareness to notice sensations, emotions, or patterns in real time
• Simple tools you can use between sessions
• Integration and reflection so the work carries into daily life

You do not need to prepare anything.
You do not need to “perform.”
You simply show up as you are.

Sessions are available in person in Olympia, WA and online via Zoom.
