Why Breathwork?

Breathing for Healing

Welcome to the world of breathwork healing! As an internationally certified breathwork facilitator, I’m dedicated to guiding you through transformative breathing practices tailored to your needs.

In our sessions, we’ll primarily focus on conscious connected breathwork (CCB), a powerful modality that allows you to access deeper levels of healing, insight, and self-discovery. Through guided circular breathing techniques, we’ll explore the profound connection between your breath and your individual experience.

In a safe and supportive environment, either in-person or online, as an individual or in a group, you’ll have the space to fully embrace your breath and its effects on your body, mind, and spirit. I’ll provide gentle guidance and a curated soundtrack to help you journey beyond your active thoughts and into deeper consciousness.

Your breathwork experience may vary from profound inner work to gentle relaxation, and both are equally valuable. Embrace your unique practice without expectations or judgment, knowing that each session offers its own gifts.

I’m here to support you on your breathwork journey, whether you seek relaxation, healing, joy, or balance in your life. Let’s embark on this healing journey together—I look forward to working with you soon!

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is the practice of working with the breath on a conscious level. One generally participates in a breathwork session for stress release, meditation, and / or relaxation. There also may be therapeutic results from breathwork, as tension patterns release and unwind in the physical, mental, and emotional body.

There really are infinite reasons to participate in breathwork: from reconnecting with your body, to increasing calm and lowering anxiety, to releasing old traumas, or to reconnect to compassion, become more mindful, and increase self-awareness and personal growth. The list could go on!

Ultimately, breathwork will help you re-identify with parts of your body, mind, and spirit that are calling out for growth, assistance, and healing.

Breathwork in the modern age encompasses a wide variety of techniques, modalities, and practices that affect consciousness and the body.

This can range from breathing during yoga class, to relieving anxiety through calming breathwork techniques, to athletes using breathing exercises for increased oxygen delivery, and / or for those who want to expand their states of consciousness though breathwork.

“No matter how your life is today, breathing makes life better. That’s a strong statement. But from what I have seen in my own practice, and in our trainings, when people learn conscious connected breathing, life improves.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a certified breathwork facilitator?

Breathwork facilitators have completed professional breathwork instructional programs in order to become trained to help people through breathwork to: reduce stress or anxiety, improve energy levels, increase mindfulness, strengthen immune system, and / or discover altered states of consciousness.

How did you become a certified breathwork facilitator?

I became a certified breathwork facilitator by completing a 400 plus hour live instructional program, along with completing dozens of individual breathwork sessions and facilitating group breathwork. I am also a member of the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance.

What types of breathwork sessions do you provide?

I provide individual, couple, and group sessions, both in-person and online. Schedule individual sessions here and please call 360-890-7789 for group session scheduling. I am available for group sessions in your home, for your specific group, or in a corporate setting.

What can happen during a breathwork session?

During a breathwork session, I will guide you to change or restructure your breathing pattern to have a desired effect on the body, mind, and spirit. Breathwork sessions can be calming and regulating at times, and other times, they may be activating. I will support and lead you through a session with clear guidance and gentle instruction in order to help you facilitate your desired outcome.

Are there any precautions to consider?

Breathwork is a gentle, noninvasive healing modality that is valuable to anyone interested in healing and personal growth. However, there are some conditions that may necessitate additional support or modification to your breathwork session.

If you have any medical conditions such as, but not being limited to: cardiovascular disease, detached retina/glaucoma, diagnosed brain or abdomen aneurysm, diabetes, high blood pressure, schizophrenia, bi-polar, epilepsy, PTSD, complex trauma, or pregnancy, please consult your doctor and obtain their approval to partake in breathwork before scheduling your session.

If any of those conditions apply to you, I am happy to discuss possible modifications in order to accommodate your needs and asses whether this work would be beneficial to you.

I have heard that people scream during breathwork. Am I expected to do that?

Breathwork can sometimes help create intense emotional releases – which can be a good thing! Through guided breathwork, our intention is to move emotions and energy through your body, so you may find yourself having an emotional response. It is not required or expected though! Some clients have a quiet, internally focused journey and some clients have a louder emotional release. Whatever feels natural to you is perfectly ok.

My friend said they couldn’t stop shaking during breathwork. What does that mean?

This happens to me personally all the time! Shaking during breathwork is completely normal. One reason for the shaking is that the body is releasing tension and stress, which can result in shaking during breathwork sessions. This shaking can be a natural response as the body releases physical and emotional tension, and I have many blankets in my office to support people through the process if needed!

How do I schedule?

My online scheduler is here, or you may call 360-890-7789. I look forward to hearing from you!
